TOURISM AND FRAGILE ENVIRONMENTS

It is well known that in our country, Spain, tourism has a huge importance. It helps to create jobs; to earn money, to build new hotels… and other facilities. Tourism is important for the economy, but sometimes it costs a lot of time and money, and sometimes fragile environment is in danger.

In the first place, when tourism is done without control, there is a lot of environmental damage. This really causes lots of problems which should be taken into account. Building new hotels and attractions may destroy a great part of the forest and we will be causing damage to the surrounding environment.

Secondly, if there are more tourists than the expected, they will be using more transports, so they will be increasing pollution in the atmosphere. From my point of view, this uncontrolled tourist flow has damaged Spain’s environment.

In conclusion, fragile environments should be limited to tourists because we have to protect the important areas of our country. We have to control tourists in order to preserve our enviroment.
